January 2007: Wow! A new year has started and it's off with a bang! I've just been cast as the principle performer in a commercial for the NC Education Lottery. We shoot this week and it will start airing at the end of the month. Watch for me playing the role of a woman trying to cash her giant (literally, the check is about as big as I am!) $74 million Powerball check at the local  bank. It should be pretty funny. Also my "One Tree Hill" episode will air on January 10, 9pm on the CW Network.  On a personal note, on Christmas morning, my boyfriend and long-time buddy, Gary proposed and, you guessed it...I said yes! We haven't set a date as of yet but are hoping to make things official this year. Yep, 2007 is off to a great start and I can't wait to see what other wonderful things will happen for everyone this year....I've got a good feeling!

December 2006: What an exciting week! First, the "One Tree Hill" shoot was great! The entire production staff were so incredibly gracious and professional to all of us. It was a great experience! You can catch my small screen debut as "Addict #2" on "One Tree Hill" on Wednesday, December 13th-9pm on the CW Network.  Also, my demo reel is officially available for online viewing-check it out at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9CUTR3S_Gk or use the link on the "Annamarie Gatto's Demo Reel" page on the website. Thanks again to the talented Gary Sivak for the amazing job he did with both my reel and current headshot.  The holidays are just around the corner and I'd like to wish everyone a safe and blessed holiday season!

November 2006: Still haven't heard back from TLC-no worries, though....I just got cast in an episode of the TV series "One Tree Hill"!!! September 2006: I got a callback for the TLC show at the end of the month....now I'm waiting to hear what happens....it'll take a little time, since they had West Coast callbacks and had to edit all of our interview and materials into a bio packet for the network....I'm totally exctied and can't wait to hear...stay tuned....

August 2006: Well, looks like the summer is finally coming to a close! Bring on the cool temperatures and beautiful scenery of my favorite season, Autumn!  New season, new projects....I'll be shooting the short film, "Iraq" at the beginning of September. From director Hannah Sink (one of the creative forces behind the episodic drama, Nuestro Barrio) the film deals with a young soldier who meets a young Iraqi woman named Songul during his time in the Gulf War. I'll be playing Songul and the film will be entered in Steven Spielburg's film makers contest...stay tuned....Also I'm getting ready to film my second episode of "A Muslim's Journey to Light" with INSP network. Oh, and exciting news....soon my reel will be ready for viewing on the site....stay tuned!

July 2006:  Wow! I can't believe how quickly the summer is flying by! I just finished my 4th year as a faculty member of Kaliedoscope, an intensive arts program for high school students. This year i flew solo, as my teaching partner had other commitments...I missed you, Kerry! The kids did a great job-they actually pulled off a full length play, cast, blocked and rehearsed in under two weeks!!! They even had a fantastic set pulled off overnight by the amazing Gary Sivak and even professionally designed costumes by my sis, Jennifer. Thanks to everyone who made the program a success this year! Good news on the horizon for "Patient 27"....looks like production will start  in the spring...I'm so looking forward to this one!  Also, the NewDaydream Films guys will be taking "New Water" to LA in October....Keep those fingers crossed!

It's an exciting project written by Richard Clark, Jr. and Kent Allen (directing and DP respectively) and is generating a lot of buzz....keep an eye out for it! I'll also be joining up again  with Murders, Inc. for a show in Charlotte, NC on the 26th-fun stuff...love working with Jerry and David!  And finally the storage unit saga is OVER!!!
